Ascend Flight Training offers a Private Pilot program designed to exceed the FAA minimum requirements outlined in 14 CFR §61.109. All applicants must meet the eligibility requirements of 14 CFR §61.103 and successfully complete the FAA knowledge and practical tests in accordance with the Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards (FAA S ACS 6).
Students receive 35 hours of dual flight instruction with a certified flight instructor covering aircraft control, takeoffs and landings, emergency procedures, cross country navigation, night operations, instrument reference flight, airspace operations, and aeronautical decision making in accordance with the FAA Private Pilot Airman Certification Standards.
Students receive 40 hours of ground instruction with a certified flight instructor covering aerodynamics, aircraft systems, weather, regulations, navigation, airspace, performance, and aeronautical decision making. This time also includes structured preflight briefings and postflight debriefs to reinforce learning and ensure full understanding of each training lesson.
Students complete 10 hours of supervised solo flight experience, including 5 hours of solo cross country operations and local solo practice, allowing them to build confidence, judgment, and aircraft control while applying the skills developed during dual instruction.
Ascend Flight Training offers an Instrument Rating program conducted under 14 CFR Part 61. Prior to beginning training, students must possess at least 50 hours of cross country Pilot in Command time in accordance with 14 CFR §61.65(d)(1) and 30 hours of simulated or actual instrument time. Training is conducted in accordance with the Instrument Rating Airman Certification Standards.
Students receive 15 hours of dual flight instruction with a certified flight instructor focused on instrument procedures, attitude instrument flying, holding patterns, intercepting and tracking courses, instrument approaches, and IFR operations in accordance with the Instrument Rating Airman Certification Standards.
Students receive 40 hours of ground instruction covering IFR regulations, instrument procedures, weather interpretation, navigation systems, flight planning, and aeronautical decision making. This time includes structured preflight briefings and postflight debriefs to reinforce each lesson and ensure a thorough understanding of instrument operations.
Ascend Flight Training offers Commercial Pilot programs conducted under 14 CFR Part 61 designed to develop advanced aircraft control, precision maneuvering, and professional aeronautical decision making. Applicants must meet the eligibility and aeronautical experience requirements outlined in 14 CFR §61.123 and §61.129, and training is conducted in accordance with the Commercial Pilot Airman Certification Standards.
Ascend Flight Training offers a Commercial Pilot Single Engine Land program conducted under 14 CFR Part 61. Applicants must meet the aeronautical experience requirements outlined in 14 CFR §61.129(a) and the eligibility requirements of 14 CFR §61.123. Training is conducted in accordance with the Commercial Pilot Airman Certification Standards and focuses on developing advanced aircraft control, precision maneuvers, and professional pilot judgment.
Ascend Flight Training offers a Commercial Pilot Single Engine Land add on program conducted under 14 CFR Part 61. Applicants must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate and meet the applicable requirements of 14 CFR §61.63 for an additional aircraft category or class rating. Training is conducted in accordance with the Commercial Pilot Airman Certification Standards.
Ascend Flight Training offers a Commercial Pilot Multi Engine Land initial program conducted under 14 CFR Part 61. Applicants must meet the eligibility and aeronautical experience requirements outlined in 14 CFR §61.123 and §61.129(b). Training is conducted in accordance with the Commercial Pilot Airman Certification Standards and focuses on multi engine aircraft systems, performance, and engine out procedures.
Ascend Flight Training offers a Commercial Pilot Multi Engine Land add on program conducted under 14 CFR Part 61. Applicants must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate and meet the applicable requirements of 14 CFR §61.63 for an additional aircraft class rating. Training is conducted in accordance with the Commercial Pilot Airman Certification Standards and emphasizes multi engine aircraft systems, performance, and engine out procedures.
